My book baby is finally getting a voice (a whole cast of them, actually). With Dreams of Payne is now a multi-cast audiobook, and the first two parts are already up on YouTube.
I started WDoP back in 2008 for National Novel Writing Month, where the challenge was to write 50,000 words in a month. I’d only ever written short stories, poems, songs, and fan fiction up until that point, but that month, I shocked myself by hitting 50k.
Most of it got scrapped in 2011 when I picked up the project again (titled Epiphany back then), started revising, and joined writing workshop groups. I was probably 85% done when I squirreled into dark romance.
In 2012, the term “dark romance” didn’t exist, so I called it dark erotica, as did a lot of dark authors back in the day. So long story short, WDoP took a back seat to the Devil’s Kiss series, and later, Condemned. But ironically, WDoP kind of started it all, which is why I’m excited to offer it to you as a multi-cast digitally narrated audiobook, free on YouTube in installments.
I’m slowly working through the production process using Spoken Press. So far, I’ve had so much fun tweaking voices and getting the dialogue as close to how I’ve always heard it in my head. This will truly be an exciting experiment for me, and I’d love for you to join me on the journey.

About the Book
