What the hell happened to Dubious?

Some of you might be asking this question: what the hell happened to Dubious? The pre-order suddenly disappeared from iBooks, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. I blame the Book Scrooge. He’s real, trust me. He obviously came in while I wasn’t looking and unpublished Dubious. He also hit up my website because all trace of Dubious is gone. (Shhh, Goodreads doesn’t count. Don’t tell Mr. Scrooge.)

I could stick to this story, and you all could speculate how Gemma James has finally gone off the deep end. It was bound to happen sooner or later, right? But the truth is, there is no Book Scrooge. You didn’t see that one coming, did ya?

No, the truth is a little more epic. It involves a change of plans, a co-writer named Pam Godwin, and a project that is still titled Dubious.

Sounds a little Dubious, doesn’t it?

I assure you, it’s not. I’m beyond thrilled to announce that the amazing Pam Godwin has signed up for my crazy and agreed to co-write Dubious. IF there are more books to come after Dubious, Bitter Vine will still be the series title. We plan to tweak the cover and blurb and re-release them sometime next year, along with a new pre-order. I know, that’s a little vague, but it’s all I’ve got for now. I understand this might be a little confusing or even frustrating, but I hope you’ll be as excited to read our joint venture as we are to write it. This is going to be a new experience for us both, but we’re looking forward to the journey.

Thanks so much for all of your support!

🙂 Gemma James
